Cantilever Car Parking Shade, Kitale

This Kitale residential property wanted a single-bay cantilever carport positioned within a landscaped garden bed, close enough to the house to shelter a vehicle right at the door without a support post breaking up the driveway approach.

Elatec's team erected the full galvanised steel cantilever frame on site, angled cross-bracing set back from the parking bay, with two tall posts carrying the load out over the vehicle space. With a single overhead pole line and communications mast visible in the background, the structure was raised and squared before the fabric roof went on.

The finished structure carries a rich maroon tensile fabric roof, tensioned across the steel frame and finished with a rolled edge trim for a clean line against the sky. Underneath, the fabric's woven texture is visible against the light, giving the carport a warm, textured ceiling rather than a flat sheet roof.

Set among ornamental grasses and flowering plants, the finished carport now shelters a vehicle directly outside the home's side entrance, with the maroon fabric picked up against the property's tiled roof and cream-painted walls.
