Evacuated-tube collectors are effective even on overcast days, producing 50–70% of their rated output. The backup electric element automatically tops up the water temperature when solar input is insufficient.

How long does it take to pay back?

Most residential systems pay back their cost in 2–4 years through electricity savings, then provide free hot water for 15–20 years.

What maintenance is required?

The system requires minimal maintenance: we recommend an annual inspection to check collector tubes, valve operation, and tank connections.

Can it be installed on a flat roof?

Yes. We fabricate angled mounting frames to orient the collectors at the optimal tilt angle (approximately 15–20° in Nairobi) on flat roofs or concrete slabs.

Does it work with my existing plumbing?

Yes. The solar water heater connects to your existing cold water supply and hot water distribution pipework.
