Cantilever Car Parking Shade, Malindi

This Malindi property needed parking cover across several bays without cluttering the courtyard with support posts in the middle of the parking area, a common ask at properties where the parking court doubles as a turning and access space for vehicles.

Elatec's cantilever design solves exactly that: the steel support posts sit to one side of each bay, with the tensile fabric roof extending out over the parking area on angled cross-bracing. That keeps every bay clear underneath, so vehicles can pull in and out without navigating around posts.

Two structures were fitted side by side to cover the full run of bays, finished in a neutral grey tensile fabric that complements the property's cream masonry and mature landscaping. The result is full-length parking cover that reads as part of the building's architecture rather than a bolted-on afterthought.
