Cantilever Car Parking Shade, Thika

This Thika property needed a cantilever carport positioned within a landscaped garden setting, close to the house and framed by ornamental grasses and a tiled-roof bungalow, a layout requiring careful frame placement to avoid the existing planting.

Elatec's team erected the full steel cantilever frame on site, with cross-bracing angled back from the parking bay to keep the covered area clear underneath. Once the frame was up and squared, the maroon tensile fabric roof was fitted and tensioned, with a technician completing the final pole cap fitting from a ladder as the last step of installation.

The finished structure now shelters a vehicle directly beside the home, with the fabric's woven texture visible against the sky from underneath and a clean, tensioned roofline running the full length of the frame.
