Freestanding Farm Boundary Electric Fence, Nakuru

Not every electric fence in Elatec's portfolio runs along a wall. This Nakuru property needed a freestanding fence line along a rural farm boundary, where the perimeter is defined by a treeline and pathway rather than a block wall or existing structure.

Elatec's team set timber posts along the full boundary run, spaced to hold a stack of tensioned horizontal wire strands from ground level up. Each post carries multiple strands secured with insulated wire wraps, giving the fence the same layered deterrent effect as a wall-top installation, but built entirely from the ground up on open farmland.

The fence line follows the natural boundary path between a hedgerow and mature eucalyptus trees, keeping a consistent wire height and tension across uneven rural terrain, a different technical challenge from a straight urban wall run, requiring careful post placement to keep the strands level and effective along the full boundary.
