Solar-Powered Electric Fence & Razor Wire, Ruiru
Ruiru, Kiambu County
Project Photos

Project Overview
This Ruiru property, still under landscaping and finishing works around its newly built boundary wall, needed an electric fence system that didn't depend on a mains power connection to the perimeter. A dedicated solar panel was mounted directly on the wall to run the energizer independently.
Elatec fitted electric fence posts and razor wire coils along the full wall run, continuing across the top of a decorative woven-steel gate so the entrance carries the same protection as the rest of the boundary. The solar panel, angled for direct sun exposure, charges a battery that keeps the energizer running without needing a cable run back to the property's mains supply, a practical solution for a boundary wall built ahead of the site's main electrical works.
Legally required orange 'Hatari Danger' warning signage was fitted along the fence line as standard, and the completed installation gives this still-developing property full perimeter protection (razor wire, live wire, and solar-independent power) from day one, without waiting on grid connection to the boundary.
